You are probably wondering what have ice and mobile phones got to do with one another, well in short, not a lot really! That is until you realise I.C.E is an acronym
which is short for ‘In case of an emergency’ I know your still thinking ok what’s the connection to your mobile, please read on!
If you are out somewhere and are unfortunate to have an accident, it is useful for a third party who may find you to see that your Mobile Phone has an I.C.E number on its list of contacts.
You may of course be thinking that you are never going to have an accident or incident that you would need to have an I.C.E number for. Well let me shatter the illusion for you, no one is ever in control and no one can ever legislate for any ‘Random, Incident’, we can risk manage but things in life can happen above and beyond our control.
The I.C.E number should be placed on your Mobile Phones contacts list so that anyone who has read this article and the Emergency services know whom your first point of contact should be. This is especially useful if you suffer from a complaint or Illness that may need specific treatment or information.
It maybe sounds unusual to have this kind of number on your handset but if you think about it from this perspective then hopefully you will understand the importance.
Stay Safe!
