The Orange Vegas

Its been on the site for a while now and has proved to be a popular mobile phone, the Orange Vegas also known as the ZTE X760 was recently reduced in price from it's origional price of £58.50 to £40.00 and now to an amazing! price of £29.00 with £10 credit included in the price on Orange pay as you go.

We like to do some research on handsets we have on the site, so that we can inform our visitors.

So usually a visit to the manufacturers website can give us all the information we need, but the Vegas/x760 has proved to be a bit of an enigma as Orange's specification and feature break down is very limited. And we could not find any mention of this model on the ZTE website

After searching through the Google results we have managed to put enougth information together to give our visitors a good idea what this phone is capable of.

We never thought we would see a TFT touch screen mobile EVER at this price, well at least not for a couple of years.The Orange Vegas is available in pink or black and has a 2.4" TFT touch-screen display, and a 1.3 megapixel camera, bluetooth, microSD card slot with a maximum capacity of up to 4GB.

Soon we will get our hands on one and compare it to other handsets of similar spec/price.

Orange bring LG Watchphone to pay as you go

Haven't Watchphones been around for ages now? Everytime Ive looked for a cheap mobile on Ebay there they are, usually available from Aisa or some hopefull UK seller. I thought personally if they where going to become popular then this particular piece of mobile quirkiness would have caught on ages ago.

So whats all the fuss about? Well Orange in they're infinite wisdom decided to soft launch a particular LG watchphone on pay as you go in late August from their Orange shop on Bond Street Station, Central London.

To start with the question is WHY? My answer is i don't know why, but with only limited stock and a one watch per customer policy for the staggering price of £500 why bother, its hardly a great piece of market research selling it from one shop is it.

Available on a first-come-first-serve basis, and one device per customer to those who arrive in person at the store - the handmade 3G+ watchphone will guarantee those fortunate enough to purchase one that they’ll turn heads on the high street."That's a Nice watch" Who walks around looking at peoples wrists? I dont do you?

The device’s slick scratch resistant touch-screen interface makes writing text messages easy. Watch the video it definantly doesnt look easy to me!

while an in-built speaker and MP3/AAC player lets you listen to the Essential James Bond theme album when you’re imprisoned in a fake volcano or battling with Jaws. Urh i think thats done it i want one. LOL

Is this a sign from Orange that they think the handheld mobile phone era is coming to an end? who knows. What i do know is the Watchphone looks difficult to use and to be honest not worth £500.

We are removing the LG Ks360 from our Orange pay as you go line up today.

This handset apart from its unique look and some great features hasnt proved to be a hit with the pre-pay-as-you-go visitors for some reason so its time to remove it.

Rather than removing the LG KP130 completley from our files we have decided to add it here. If you own one or have used it please let us know what you think.

New to the website this week is the Samsung C3050 mobile phone which is available on Orange pay as you go for £58.50.
