You may not have given the Razr much thought since back in the day, when the ultra-sleek flip was THE phone to have. Well, the Motorola Razr Maxx is determined to bring back that must-have status, and for a select group of users, they just might have done it. Battery life is a huge concern these days, what with smartphones doing everything under the sun.

Having your battery go dead in the diddle of an important phone call with no charging port in sight? Not a fun scenario. It’s even worse when you know that the important business call you just dropped because of a low battery was much, much more important than the marathon Angry Birds session which drained that battery in the first place.
Battery Life Like No Other
On average, today’s typical smartphone gives approximately gives 300 hours of standby with 8 hours of talk time. With the broad variety of apps out there and their similarly varied battery-drain capabilities, these numbers can swing wildly in either direction.

The Motorola Razr Maxx sets itself apart from the competition by offering a truly stunning seven hundred hours of standby. In other words, this little powerhouse has enough battery life to keep going for nearly a month, provided you don’t use it. Obviously you’re usually going to be using your phone, but that ultra-long battery life is very comforting for those who take long road trips or go camping in remote areas – it’s always nice to know that even on the longest excursions, your phone won’t leave you stranded by the side of the road or in the heart of the wilderness.
Talk time battery life is equally impressive. The Motorola Razr Maxx offers up a full twenty hours of chatting capability. You can literally stay on the phone from dusk till dawn with this handset, give or take a few hours to account for texting, web surfing, gaming and other activities.

The Motorola Razr Maxx is packed with power. On one full charge, you can host a marathon 17 hr conference call — that’s twice as long as the leading competitor’s smartphone
Motorola Razr Maxx Specs
The battery life of this sleek powerhouse is its main draw, but Motorola isn’t trying to sell you a phone based on battery life alone. The Motorola Razr Maxx is highly competitive in every way. Some of the highly sought-after features this phone delivers include an 8MP camera and full 1080p HD video capabilities, complemented by a 1.3MP rear camera for crisp and clear video-chatting.
At 130.7-x-68.9-x-9mm, the Motorola Razr Maxx is a sleek phone, just as you’d expect from a Razr. The Super-AMOLED screen is amazingly vivid and features full touch capabilities. The Motorola Razr Maxx comes with Android’s last platform, Gingerbread. However, if you’re a fan of their latest 4.0 version, Ice Cream Sandwich, have no fear – the Razr Maxx is fully upgradable. Simply put, the Motorola Razr Maxx is a great all-around smartphone, featuring all the bells and whistles you’ve come to expect from a handset. The incredible battery life may be a deal-maker for you, or it might just be the icing on the cake. However, when you consider just how annoying a dead battery can be, that’s some mighty tasty icing.

Unfortunately the Razr Maxx is not available on Pay monthly contract or Pay as you go in the UK so that leaves the Sim Free only. We’ve had a look around and the cheapest price we could find it at £394.94 WOW! That’s expensive!! But if this handset can live up to the hype maybe it’s worth it?
