T Mobile PayG is making a name for itself as a main high street retailer when it comes to sensible pay as you go offers. Nothing incredible here, just good value handsets at great prices, all for the pay as you go customer. While this may not seem like the most rock and roll sector in the world, you can pick up some fantastic deals form the company if you look hard enough.
T Mobile PayG
Here we are going to take a look at three of the handsets that they are offering that intrigue us at the moment.
T Mobile Zest II Silver
The T Mobile Zest II Silver is a very cost effective handset and very much the right choice for someone who doesn’t need all of the bells and whistles that you might find on the latest high-end smartphone. Starting off at just £12.49 for the handset + £10 top up, this looks to us like the perfect gift for a child or elderly relative from T Mobile PayG, or someone who doesn’t want to use their phone for much more than being able to call and text people. That said, it does have some features that surprised us.
It comes with a half decent MP3 player, which makes it a fun little mobile, again very much appropriate for the younger generation. It also has a video player that gives it that extra edge for media. We like it, it isn’t anything other than a good entry-level phone, but there is a place in the world for this kind of thing from T Mobile PayG. To find out more about this handset Visit T Mobile
T Mobile Unity
The T-Mobile Unity from T Mobile PayG is a step up on the smartphone regard. This phone is no iPhone, but it does offer some connectivity that we wouldn’t expect on the £34.99 + £10 top up, price tag it comes with. You can receive and send your emails with this phone, which, when we think about it, is the main reason many people get a smartphone.
So this already makes it incredibly useful, and definitely something a businessperson could easily find a place for. You also get picture messaging, which means that it has the media advantage for such a small price. There is some Internet connectivity, but we found that the best use for this phone was as a great email device, more cost-effective than a Blackberry anyway. You can find out more about the Unity and its features at the T Mobile website Unity Features
T Mobile Vivacity
The Vivacity from T Mobile PayG brings our list of handsets straight up to the big time, with true connectivity features, 3G, WiFi with speeds that arn’t as slow as you would expect for a handset that only just nudges the £100 bracket (it comes in at £84.99 + £10 top up). This is a little beauty for the price, T Mobile are calling it a multimedia marvel, and for the price we think they maybe right! The number of features the Vivactity offers is amazing for the money, and include a half decent 5 megapixel camera, 3.5 inch touch screen and Android 2.3 for example.
All this makes the Vivacity that much more special than the other handsets we’ve covered in this article. In fact this phone opened our eye’s a little and has helped us to learn to love pay as you go again. We recommend this last phone, because we feel that if you have a phone for under £100 with these kind of superb features, who needs a iPhone/Blackberry? (Okay, we’re just talking…). However the Vivacity is a worthy handset to own and one that we would recommend to anyone looking for a bells and whistles handset for a lower price.
