HTC ChaCha – Android QWERTY Smartphone

HTC ChaCha QWERTY Android Smartphone

If you like the QWERTY keyboard of a Blackberry phone but don’t like Blackberry’s themselves maybe there’s a smartphone you haven’t thought about just yet, The HTC ChaCha!

The HTC ChaCha is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread based smartphone that is packed with features and focuses on keeping you in touch with friends and family whilst on the move. In fact if Facebook is your favourite social tipple you’ll be pleased to know the ChaCha has a dedicated Facebook Key which once clicked gives you instant access to your friends recent updates.

HTC have included the best of both worlds within the design of the HTC ChaCha not only does it have a full QWERTY keyboard but also a 2.6-inch touch screen with seven moveable and totally customisable home screens, this enables a user to customise how the ChaCha looks and feels by organising and downloading 1000s of apps from Google Play the reincarnation of what was the Android Market.

HTC have thrown the proverbial kitchen sink at the HTC ChaCha so much as to even make sure the details you wouldn’t expect to be are of high quality, such as the display which is made of Gorilla glass. Gorilla Glass is an unscratchable, unshatterable material used to protect the display of the ChaCha.

So what does the HTC ChaCha offer you?

People-centric communication
All your calls, messages and updates are organized by people, not by applications.

Customizable homescreen
Add everything that is important to you to your homescreen.

What HTC said about the ChaCha:

The HTC ChaCha lets you share music, photos, your location and status updates in just one touch via a dedicated Facebook share button. With integrated Facebook chat, catch-up with your friends whenever you like. With a dedicated QWERTY keyboard featuring well balanced raised keys the HTC ChaCha lets send out your messages superfast.

Our Opinion:

When looking at the specs and features of the HTC ChaCha you certainly get the feeling that HTC really wanted to produce an amazing smartphone, and from what we know of it and reading other reviews and opinions that have been shared with us on Twitter and Facebook it looks like they have succeeded in creating just that!

Obviously though the proof is in the using, we’ve had our hands on one for less than 24 hours, what we’d like to do is get the opinions of people who actually own one and then see what they’re opinion of it is!
