Whilst browsing through a popular tabloid newspaper this morning i came across some surprising reductions on popular handsets available at the Carphone Warehouse, i was so surprised by the size of some reductions that i have to share this with our Blog readers.
Business must be slow or the people at the Carphone Warehouse have just decided to knock up to 65% of the price of some of their pay as you go handsets. One in particular that i couldn’t believe my eyes about when i read it was the Massive £120 price reduction on the LG Viewty 5.1 Megapixel touch screen handset, available on Vodafone pay as you go. This reduction brings it down from £199.99 to £79.99, “What a Bargain”, to be honest i felt a little sick when i saw this as just yesterday i purchased an LG Arena for my wife on contract. I don’t think she would be happy if I swapped, it for the Viewty do you?
Other handset reductions include 65% of the Nokia 7310 on Virgin pay as you go, which has been reduced from £139.99 to £49.95 saving a massive £90. Also you can Save £20 on the Samsung Tocco lite now £79.95 on Voda PayG.
From the sales chat on the add i was reading these reductions could be for a limited time only (Bank Holiday) but that could be just a roose to get people to purchase quickly. Anyway, there are definitely some great offers to take advantage of at the moment, just remember to read the offer details as you may have to purchase airtime credit to buy a handset for the advertised price.

I'm looking to buy a new phone today, and i am a bit concious of spending to much on something rubbish. I found this site when searching on Google, ive read your article and its definitely give me a direction for where to look thanks!
Do not swap your wife's LG Arena for the Viewty.
I must say that the Viewty is not the best of mobile phones out. In my opinion I think the Arena just looks so much more elegant and cooler than the Viewty.
With regards to Carphone Warehouse bringing their prices down just so that they obtain customers very quickly is in my opinion a true fact. Has it not always been the case?
I still remember quite a few years back there was this diamond weird shaped Nokia, which they reduced the handset price down to roughly £40 + top up. Everyone went crazy over that sale and the phones were swiped up within hours. The sale ended and a little while later… What do you know the price of the phone was reduced again.
Always shop around, compare prices and anticipate further price reductions before you jump to buy anything.
Dont Worry ive no intention of swapping the Arena for a Viewty, unless it was one of the new 8 megapixel handsets. But i think thats a mobile i will probably look into first.
I wouldn't be surprised in this economy if the reductions are that drastic.
