The rumours that Deutsche Telekom, the owner of T-Mobile Uk have considered selling their UK operation have been circling around the press for a while now, with the 3 network being the first party touted as interested in making an offer.
Today it has emerged from sources as yet unknown, that Vodafone which currrently has a 25% UK market share, is mulling over the idea of making a bid.
So far Vodafone have declined to make a comment on the rumour, so who knows what the truth is.
If Vodafone where to complete a purchase of T-Mobile UK, Vodafone would become the largest mobile operator in the UK with a market share of 40%.
Any such move by Vodafone could be blocked by regulators.

In the sun it says vodafone are going to offer 3 billion pound for t mobile. It also says Deutsche telekom havehired people to look into the options available.
How would vodafone buying tmobile be a good thing?
I hardly think they would be telling anyone if they were?
This aside, the chances of such a deal being allowed is highly unlikely and of little or no benefit to anyone if it was?
If vodafone do buy it, I don't think it will be good for the market as a whole. Vodafone will have too much of the marketshare
I cant see the regulators giving the go ahead for anything like this.
From what ive read on other blogs and forums, Vodafones customer service is terrible, i dont know what T-Mobiles is like but i would change networks if anything like this happened.
This story soon vanished from the headlines, i wonder if combining 2 huge companies with a large amount of customers, is too much of a challenge.
Im with t-mobile myself on a sim only deal and I hop vodafone don't take over as iv had issues with voda in the past!
